- You need to cleanse, tone and moisturize regularly. Cleanse with a face wash or cleansing milk. Oriflame lavender and blueberry calming face wash and toner are really good. Try it and you will see the difference.
- Don’t forget to use a toner; it helps to close open pores giving the skin a smoother appearance. Rosewater and cucumber juice make excellent toners.
- As for moisturizers, look for ones that are light so that they don’t clog your pores unless you have very dry skin.
- Don’t forget to use a sunscreen .It should also have the right SPF level. SPF 15 is just right for daily use if you are an office worker. But if you are frequently found outdoors, you have to use something with a higher SPF.
- It's best to drink plain water, rather than pop, coffee or other sweetened drinks. Coffee or alcohol will actually make you lose more water, and pop and juice will start to pad on the calories if you drink them all day long.
- Take a bottle of water with you when you go out, for easy rehydrating. Get a good quality water bottle that you can refill yourself, instead of buying water in single serve bottles. All that plastic is bad for the environment. But if you do need to buy water, you should know what all those different kinds of water really are.
- often add a few drops of sweetner to a glass of water to sweeten it, when just not in the mood for plain water. an herbal sweetener that is very powerful, only a couple drops will do. No calories either.

4. Don't use products with acid-based ingredients:
- This will protect you from tanning, fine lines, freckles and pigmentation.Citric acid and chemical peelers can be damaging to the skin when you are exposed to the sun. They can make your dermis photosensitive.
- You have to avoid using chemical peelers during the summer season. Stick to milder products that will not cause skin peeling.
- Scrubbing is also VERY important as it removes the dead skin cells (which makes the skin look dull) revealing cleaner and fresher new skin.
- You can use almond powder or powdered dried orange peel with rosewater and whole wheat flour.
6. Face Mask:
- Once in a while apply a face mask. This helps to stimulate the skin, draw out impurities, close open pores and hydrate. Use a clay based mask for oily and combination skin and a gel based mask for normal to dry skin
- This will help slough off dead skin cells. They tend to block the pores and prevent moisturizers from penetrating deeply into the dermis.
- You can try making your own exfoliating treatment. Mix brown sugar with honey and apply it on your damp skin.
